Okay yeah yes it’s been a very fucking long time

I’ll sit here and berate myself if you’ll let me, but that’s pointless and I’ve been berating myself every day since I got back from Boston, so let’s skip that, okay?

Okay. Not a lot to post this time, except a nice little something extra. When I posted this last week, I asked folks to share something that they’ve done or is a need that needs to be met in their community outside of monetary online contributions, so I’m going to post the aid funds first, and the good ideas second.

And I’m going to try to get back into doing these weekly. I’ve really been slacking, and we all need each other more than ever, so this feels like the literal least I can do. If you’re reading this - thanks. Appreciate you sticking with me.

Thank you, as always. I need help to remain housed next week (I have a room until Tuesday), and with paying overdue bills. This room runs about $650 a week, which is expensive, but it has a kitchen which saves a lot vs. eating out. My phone bill is $75. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the mental capacity to do much to help the community recently, other than by donating to and reposting other MA needs. Zay has been trying to reach a week’s goal or two since hospital discharge. They have been in and out of the hospital and urgent care with long cov¡d complications, and was just back again. 450 weekly rate is the cheapest vs the 80 daily rate. I am disabled and rely on both medicaid and snap while trying to fix the AC in my car. Right now I am missing drs apts and getting out of the house due to the heat being so bad and I cant risk that no longer. My suggestion would be to look at local animal shelters that need volunteers, whether that’s working at their facility or fostering. They need the help, and the fuzz therapy is good.

I’m on my fourth foster cat and care for community cats (including TNR when able). I am active in my local trans group with running the virtual meetings, being morning lead for various Prides, and storing the booth stuff in my basement. A queer teen considers my house their “safe space.”
